  Come and celebrate the sights, sounds and flavors of Loudoun County, Virginia. Join your neighbors and friends for a day of music, dance, theater and art as Loudoun County celebrates the arts. The spotlight is on Loudoun. The spotlight is on family and fun.

Celebrate Loudoun is a first annual cultural arts festival, showcasing the rich array of cultural arts in Loudoun County. The one-day festival features top area artists and performers with entertainments for families and all age groups. The event is a joint effort between The George Washington University Virginia Campus, the Loudoun Arts Council and the Loudoun County Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services. Proceeds from the festival will benefit the arts in Loudoun County.

Where

Celebrate Loudoun is being held on the grounds of The George Washington University Virginia Campus located at 20101 Academic Way in Ashburn, Virginia at University Center off of Route 7, one mile west of Route 28, five miles north of the Dulles International Airport, 13 miles west of Tysons Corner and eight miles east of historic Leesburg.

Event Schedule

Using three performance stages, Celebrate Loudoun will feature Loudoun County's top musicians, artists, dancers and actors.

Main Stage
1:00 - Iona, Celtic band with dancers
2:00 - The GW Faculty Jazz Ensemble with GW dance faculty and students
3:00 - Loudoun Master Singers, formal choral group
4:00 - Loudoun Concert Band, 60-piece orchestra
5:00 - The Loudoun Symphony, 60+ piece classical orchestra
6:00 - Stage Closes

Acoustic Stage
1:00 - Tabby Finch, vocal with hammer dulcimer
1:30 - The Hamilton Trio, chamber music
2:15 - Laura Bobrow, story teller
3:00 - Unnatural Ax, 4-piece band
4:00 - Common Ground, Celtic band
5:00 - Les and Stephanie, pop duet
6:00 - Stage Closes

Children's Stage
12:30 - Opening Ceremony
1:00 - Puppets-a-Poppin, Very Special Arts
2:00 - Juggling Lady
3:00 - Laura Bobrow, children's story teller
4:00 - Punch and Judy and Friends, the Sterling Playmakers
5:00 - The Blue Ridge Thunder Cloggers
6:00 - Stage Closes

Entertainment is subject to change without notice.

All seven Loudoun Wineries will be present to offer a tasting of some of Loudoun's finest wines. The cost is $3 and you must be 21 years of age to participate.

The Fine Art Gallery Tent will display Loudoun County artists' works from painting to pottery. Art may be purchased on the day of the event.

Flavors of Loudoun Restaurants will feature a selection of Loudoun's finest cuisine.

Adults: $6.00 advance purchase or $8.00 at the door.
Children (5-11 years of age): $3.00 advance purchase or $5.00 at the door.
Children under 5 years of age: FREE.

Celebrate Loudoun will be held rain or shine and all tickets are non-refundable.

Parking

Parking is FREE. Parking is in the vicinity of the campus, with shuttle buses to bring attendees to the festival grounds.

Funding for Celebrate Loudoun was provided by the Restricted Transient Occupants Tax, Tourism Opportunity Fund.
