BACKGROUND:
The George Washington University Virginia Campus serves an international technology and management community from its research and technology campus near Dulles International Airport in the Northern Virginia technology corridor. Since opening in August 1991, The Virginia Campus has become a leading center of collaborative research in transportation safety and security. The campus houses several federal transportation initiatives, including the FWHA/NHTSA National Crash Analysis Center, FAA International Aviation Safety and Security program, and the NTSB International Training Academy.
