The Loudoun County Public Schools Student Art Show features two-dimensional, mixed media works by approximately 45 student artists from five Loudoun County schools: Harmony Intermediate, Banneker Elementary, Lovettsville Elementary, Hamilton Elementary and Waterford Elementary. To open the exhibit, GW will host an artist recognition reception with featured speaker, Edgar B. Hatrick, superintendent of the Loudoun County Public Schools. The goal for Loudoun County Public Schools Visual Arts Program is to connect the student/creator to the power of the visual image and create a link between the arts of the past and present. In grades one through 12, basic learning goals have been set that strive to address the students' sequential development through art in relation to their creative expression and appreciation of art.
