Genomics Summer Camp for Girls
and Internships in Labs

QUICKLINKS

GW engages young minds in a one-week annual Genomics Summer Camp for Girls. At the camp, the Pharmacogenomics faculty use lab experiments— including DNA analysis—to introduce the science of genomics and microbiology to 30 high school teens. The camp is held annually in the summer. This year's dates are from June 11-14, 2012. The application deadline is May 11th. More information.

Meanwhile, internships for high school students are available with several research institutes at the Virginia Science and Technology Campus, and more are being developed each year. For high school students with a focused academic interest, internships offer an unparalleled advantage when they launch their college studies.
