Plan Visit to Campus

The 101-acre Virginia Science and Technology Campus is only 25 miles from the University's Foggy Bottom Campus in Washington, DC and 5 miles northwest of Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD).

The Campus sits in the Ashburn community of Loudoun County, Virginia. Research labs and classrooms are spread among three buildings, totaling approximately 350,000 square feet. Parking is free and unassigned and each building has its own parking area. The Campus is approximately six miles from two proposed Metro stops.

Exploration Hall

Research 1

Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 9:30 p.m.; Saturday 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. After-hours entry requires a University identification card. Engineering degree program offices and several research centers and laboratories are located in Exploration Hall, as are several technology-enhanced classrooms, computer labs, and the Gallery Lounge.


Innovation Hall

Research 2

Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 9:30 p.m. Campus Academic Administration offices are found in Innovation Hall, as are the Pharmacogenomics and Nursing departments and the National Crash Analysis Center (NCAC). The building is being renovated to accommodate additional labs and classrooms. The main entrance is from the rear parking lot.


Enterprise Hall

Building 2

Hours: 24/7 secure building; guests need to sign in with photo identification. Classrooms, computer labs, and offices for academic programs in Education, and Business are housed in Enterprise Hall. The Virginia Campus Library, Foundation Center Cooperating Collection, art galleries and exhibits, and the Colonial Cafe are located on the First Floor. Several University administrative offices, the Jason Project, the IJIS Institute, and the Office of Homeland Security Grants and Training are also located in Enterprise Hall.
